This is a magnificent hand-knotted & it is handmade, wool moroccan double-sided carpet or rug created by berber women in the atlas mountains - Morocco. The general design is quilt-like, with two pairs of columns of alternating squares on each row. Each large square design in the main canton appears twice. It was loomed to look like stained glass windows. The internal border work is outstanding as is the outside border and the fringe. The colors are rich, vibrant, exquisite and varied.
